Hair care for greasy hair and oily scalps

Greasy hair appears when sebum from the scalp becomes visible through the roots and lengths. How quickly this happens varies from person to person and can be influenced by skin type, hormones, hair type, styling products and how often you touch your hair.

Shampoo for greasy hair

Focus shampoo on the scalp, massage gently with your fingertips and rinse thoroughly. If you use a lot of styling products, two short washes can sometimes be easier than using one large amount of shampoo.

Conditioner and styling

An oily scalp does not mean the lengths do not need care. Apply conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends if the hair feels dry or tangles easily. Avoid heavy styling products directly at the roots if your hair becomes flat quickly.

  • Wash according to your needs rather than a fixed rule.
  • Rinse products thoroughly.
  • Clean brushes and styling tools regularly.
  • Use styling products sparingly around the roots.
