On beauty products, ingredients are labelled with Latin names on product declarations (INCI). It can often be difficult to find out what is actually in the products. We want to change that! That's why we've compiled a long list of all our ingredients to explain what's in your products in an easy and clear way. See all the ingredients we use in our products below.

A

Aloe Vera

The Aloe Vera plant has been known for its caring properties for thousands of years.

Amaranthus Caudatus seed extract

Amaranthus Caudatus seed extract is an extract extracted from the seed. A unique peptide that penetrates hair fibres and increases the diameter of the hair shaft from within. Reduces friction, adds shine and strengthens hair. Used to soothe and condition hair and scalp. Moisturises and adds shine.

Argan Oil

Argan oil, with its high content of antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamin E, is able to naturally help increase hair's moisture content and elasticity.

Arginine

Arginine is an amino acid that improves blood flow to hair follicles and thus increases hair growth. Has antifungal and antibacterial properties that help prevent dandruff.

Behentrimonium Chloride

Behentrimonium Chloride is a preservative that also has caring and anti-static properties.

Behentrimonium Methosulfate

Behentrimonium Methosulfate is an anti-static and emollient ingredient mainly used in hair care products. When combined with Cetearyl Alcohol, they form a super emulsifier duo for a delicious texture.

C

Capilia Longa; Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Callus Conditioned Media

Capilia Longa is a concentrated secretion containing signalling peptides designed to create the optimal micro-environment to re-activate hair growth. Stimulates hair follicle activity, restoring and optimising the hair follicle cycle. Promotes hair growth and counteracts hair loss.

Cetearyl Alcohol

Cetearyl Alcohol is a so-called fatty alcohol, which is completely different from drying alcohols. Fatty alcohols are absolutely non-drying and non-irritating to the skin, but very moisturising.

Chondrus Crispus

Chondrus Crispus is an algae extract derived from algae, most commonly called Irish moss or red seaweed. Used as a thickening and stabilising agent.

Citric Acid

Citric Acid is used to adjust the PH balance in personal care products.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a mild foaming and detergent active ingredient extracted from various oils (often coconut oil).

Collagen Amino Acids

Collagen Amino Acids is an amino acid with natural moisturising factors. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, such as collagen, and are highly moisturising and especially good for dry or curly hair.

E

Ethylhexylglycerin

Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative that increases the effectiveness of Phenoxyethanol. Also has an emollient effect. Approved by the EU and Allergy Certified.

G

Gluadin WLM Benz

Glaudin WLM Benz is a highly micronised wheat-based protein active that can penetrate deep into the hair shaft. Leaves a protective film around the hair shaft.

Glycerin

Glycerine is a sugar alcohol that moisturises and retains moisture, inhibiting the growth of e.g. yeasts and bacteria. Approved by the EU.

H

Hydrogenated Castor Oil

Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a chemically modified version of castor oil, which has emollient and unique moisturising properties.

Hydrolyzed Keratin

Hydrolysed Keratin is a biological material consisting of partially hydrolysed keratin.

I

INCA INCI Oil

INCA INCI Oil (Plukenetia volubilis) is a plant that produces large, edible seeds rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, protein and other substances such as vitamin E and Beta-sitosterol. Omega-3 is highly beneficial for skin and hair. It helps to regulate oil production and helps to lock in much-needed moisture. Hair is repaired, smooth, soft and lustrous, containing vitamin E and vitamin B versions. Has softening and moisturising properties.

L

Lauryl Glucoside

Lauryl Glucoside is a mild surfactant derived from sugars. It is used as an emulsifier and stabiliser.

M

Macadamia Intergrifolia Seed Oil

Macadamia Intergrifolia Seed Oil is a golden yellow oil that comes from the Macadamia nut from Australia. Like other plant oils, it is packed with softening and nourishing fatty acids. It is an oil with a high oleic acid content, which makes it very emollient. Its unique property is that it contains high amounts of a rare fatty acid called palmitoleic acid (12-25%).

Morinda Citrifolia Callus Culture Lysate

Morinda Citricfolia Callus Culture Lysate balances the skin's microflora and treats oily hair and scalp.

P

Panthenol

Panthenol is a provitamin of B5. It is an effective moisturiser that also binds moisture in the hair. In addition, it improves wound healing and has a healing effect. Has a calming and soothing effect on the skin.

Pentylene Glycol

Pentylene Glycol is found naturally in some plants, such as sugar beet and corn on the cob. Moisturises and retains moisture. Also has antimicrobial properties.

Phenoxyethanol

Phenoxyethanol is an organic preservative that is widely used because it is safe and effective.

Potassium Sorbate

Potassium Sorbate is a natural preservative used in leave-in products. Effective against fermentation and fungal growth.

Propanediol

Propanediol can be both natural (derived from corn) or synthetic. It is a common ingredient in personal care products. Has a moisturising effect.

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil is an emollient plant oil derived from almonds.

Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract

Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract is an apple extract with a high antioxidant content that helps create a protective barrier against environmental stresses. Provides light exfoliation. Rich in a natural polyphenol called procyanidin B2, which has been shown to stimulate hair growth.

S

Saccharide Isomerate

Saccharide Isomerate is a 100% natural and plant-derived moisturiser.

Shea Butter Ethyl Esters

Shea Butter Ethyl Esters come from shea butter, which is rich in vitamins A, E and F.

Sodium Benzonate

Sodium Benzonate is a preservative found in cranberries, cranberries and blueberries.

Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate

Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate is a mild surfactant extracted from coconut oil, among other things. The substance is vegan. Provides a good foaming effect.

Sodium Lactate

Sodium Lactate is derived from either corn starch or potatoes. Is part of the skin's own natural moisturising factors. Can be both moisturising and exfoliating.

Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate

Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, also known as sarcosyl, is a surfactant used as a foaming and cleansing agent in shampoos and toothpaste, among other things.

Sodium PCA

Sodium PCA stands for Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid and is naturally found in our skin. PCA is an important skin-identical ingredient that helps skin retain moisture and stay hydrated.

Sorbitol

Sorbitol is a sugar substitute that helps the skin/hair retain moisture. Can also be used to thicken and smooth the product.

Stearyl Alcohol

Stearyl Alcohol is a so-called fatty alcohol. That is, an alcohol that does not dry out or irritate, but has a softening effect. It is a multitasker that stabilises oil-water mixtures and gives them body.

Tea tree oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil

Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Known to reduce itching and irritation. Its antiseptic properties help to manage oily skin. Used in the treatment of dandruff, among other things, it is anti-static, film-forming, hair conditioning and moisturising.

X

Xanthan Gum

Xanthan Gum is the most commonly used thickener and emulsion stabiliser. Xanthan gum is a natural substance made from individual sugar molecules. Also used in the food industry.
