Hair serum for your lengths or scalp – choose by need

A hair serum for your lengths and a scalp serum have different uses. Explore serums for shine and frizz control alongside leave-in formulas for a regular scalp-care routine. Start with where you want to use the product, then compare the individual serums.

Which hair serum should I choose?

A dry or sensitive scalpScalp Relief SerumScalp
A regular Grow & Glow routineGrow & Glow and Grow & Glow Formula+Scalp

Grow & Glow and Formula+ are different formulas. Compare their ingredient lists and directions on the product pages. A scalp serum does not automatically replace a serum for your lengths.

Hair serum for frizz and dry lengths

Repair & Shine conditions the lengths and helps create a smoother, shinier finish. Apply a small amount through the mid-lengths and ends as directed.

For fine hair, start with a little and add more only if needed. For curly hair, work in sections to distribute the serum evenly.

Serum for your scalp

Scalp Relief Serum is a fragrance-free leave-in serum for a dry or sensitive scalp. Grow & Glow serums are also applied to the scalp, following the routine on each product page.

Follow the directions for your chosen serum on quantity, frequency and application. Scalp care and care for the ends do not necessarily follow the same steps.

Hair serum or hair oil?

The name alone does not tell you what a product does. Both serums and hair oils can be formulated blends. Check the intended use, formula and directions. If you use both on the lengths, keep amounts small and adapt the order to the products.

How to use hair serum

  1. Choose a serum for your lengths or scalp according to your needs.
  2. Apply the recommended amount to the area the product is designed for.
  3. Follow the directions on dry or damp hair, frequency and whether the product should be rinsed out.

Hair serum questions

Can I use hair serum every day?

It depends on the product. Follow its directions and adjust the amount so your hair does not feel heavy or greasy.

Should hair serum go on wet or dry hair?

This varies between serums. Check the directions for your product rather than using one method for every formula.

Can I put scalp serum on my ends?

Choose by intended use. A scalp serum is not necessarily designed to give the same finish as a serum for the lengths and ends.

Can I use hair serum and hair oil together?

Often, if the products suit your routine. Start with small amounts and follow their directions.
